Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Apply on the Zambia eVisa portal well ahead

    Nigeria is on Zambia's list of nationalities whose visas require advance clearance. Apply online at least three weeks before travel — USD 50 single entry, USD 80 double.

  2. Wait for the approval before booking anything non-refundable

    There is no visa on arrival for Nigerian passports, so an approval that has not arrived means no trip. Airlines check before boarding.

  3. Get yellow fever vaccination

    NAFDAC-approved centre in Lagos or Abuja. Yellow card at least 10 days old. Zambia checks it strictly.

  4. Plan Victoria Falls from one side — or get two visas

    The KAZA UniVisa is not open to Nigerian passports. Seeing the Zimbabwean side needs a separate Zimbabwean visa, which Nigerians must also obtain before travel (Zimbabwe Category C).

  5. Enter with the approval letter and passport

    Present the approved e-visa, passport and yellow fever certificate at Lusaka (LUN) or Livingstone (LVI).

This applies to the KAZA UniVisa as well, which is available online only for arrivals at Kenneth Kaunda, Harry Mwanga Nkumbula, Victoria Falls and Kazungula.
