Sossusvlei (Namib-Naukluft Park) is Namibia's showpiece — towering orange sand dunes against white salt pans. The Dune 45 sunrise is iconic. Stay at Sesriem Camp (inside park gate) to be first in for sunrise access.
Etosha National Park has over 130 watering holes and two floodlit ones you can watch at night from your camp. The Okaukuejo and Halali camps have floodlit waterholes — watching elephants, rhinos, and lions at midnight is unforgettable.
Namibia is excellent for self-drive — roads are well-maintained and distances are vast but manageable. A 4WD is recommended for Sossusvlei. GPS essential. The B1 highway (north–south spine) is good tar.
