  3. Book a VFS Global appointment

    Go to vfsglobal.com/ireland/southafrica and book an appointment at your nearest VFS centre in Johannesburg or Cape Town.

  4. Submit documents at VFS Global and pay

    Attend your appointment with the complete document pack. Pay the EUR 60 visa fee (single) or EUR 100 (multiple) plus the VFS service fee. VFS forwards your application to the Irish South Africa Visa Desk.

  5. Wait for decision (approximately 8 weeks)

    The Irish Immigration Service processes applications within 8 weeks of receipt. You will be notified by email. Do not book non-refundable travel until you have your visa.

  6. Collect your passport from VFS

    Once a decision is made, your passport is returned to VFS. Collect it in person or opt for courier delivery if available.
